PRIVACY POLICY

At eEducation Albert AB (559020-9093) we care about your privacy. We are, therefore, cautious about collecting information that can be linked to your person (so-called personal data). At the same time, we want to give you access to Albert, your digital math tutor, and give you the opportunity to save your progress and adapt the content to match your progress.

What information do we collect?

When registering your user account we ask for your phone number or email. We do not collect social security number or any other sensitive data.

When registering your account, you submit credit card details through our user interface to our payment provider Stripe (Stripe, Inc.). For this data, Stripe has a personal data liability towards you as a user.

While using our service, we save your interaction with Albert, your digital math tutor, including the exercises visited and solved. We do this in order to be able to save your current progress, adapt the content to the difficulty level best suited for you, and for you to be able to restart at a later time.

How do we use the personal information we collect?

We use phone number or email to create a user account so that you can log in and save your activities. We may also use information generated in the user profile in aggregated form to improve our service. We also want to be able to contact you regarding Albert related offers that we believe are interesting to you.

We use modern and encrypted information technology, and we have procedures to ensure confidentiality.

How do we store the personal information we collect?

We store your personal information in various cloud services within and outside the EU/EEA.

We strive to only process personal data within the EU or within the EEA. In some cases, our own or our partners’, may have their servers located outside the EU or EEA. In such cases, we begin processes to enter into Data Processing Agreements (DPA:s) that are adapted to a treatment outside the EU or EEA.

Regardless of where your personal data is processed, we take steps to ensure that your personal data is not processed for purposes other than what has been agreed upon.

How long do we store the personal data we collect?

We store your personal data as long as you use Albert, your digital math tutor, and for two years after the completion of your subscription. We do this because we want to have the opportunity to reach you, who has previously used our service, with targeted offers. If the law so requires, we may retain some personal information for a longer period of time, and we can also store information if it is required to fulfill our agreement with you (in these cases, our processing of your personal data is not based on consent, and then it is also not possible to withdraw the consent).

Transfer of personal data

In cases where we transfer your personal data outside the EU/EEA, we do so only under the EU standard contract clauses or, in the case of the United States, to companies that are self-certified under the Privacy Shield.

Your rights

You have the right to know what personal data we store about you, and if any information is incorrect, you have the right to request that it be corrected. You can at any time choose to withdraw your consent, but only for the part of our data treatment that is based on consent. In that case, we will delete your user account. You have the following rights with the limitations that follow from applicable legislation:

Right of access. We are always open and transparent about how we process your personal data and if you want to gain a deeper insight into which personal data we are processing, you can request access to your personal data and obtain a register extract.

Right to restriction of processing. You have the right to request that our processing of your personal data to be limited.

Right to object. You always have the right to object to marketing and to object to all processing of personal data based on legitimate interests.

Right to data portability. If our right to process your personal data is based on either your consent or the performance of an agreement with you, you have the right to request that the data that concerns you, and which you have submitted to us, to be transferred to another data controller (so-called data portability). One prerequisite for data portability is that the processing is technically possible and carried out by be automated means.

Right to erasure (‘right to be forgotten’). In some cases you have the right to have your personal data erased, eg. if the personal data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which the data was collected. Note that in some cases we need to save some information according to the law and thus not to delete information.

Right to rectification. You have the right to obtain the rectification of inaccurate personal data. Depending on the purpose of the processing, you also have the right to supplement incomplete personal data.

If you want to use any of these rights, please send a request to privacy@mralbert.com. By sending such a request, you have to identify yourself by sending a photocopy of either your driver's license, passport, ID cards or other documentation that confirms your identity.
